Studio-98 Gets Some Great New Cards

We’ve been too busy to post any new stuff to the blog lately, but we wanted to share these nice new business card designs for studio-98, a contemporary candid wedding (and event) photography studio in the Northwest. Not coincidentally, we’re also working on their new website that we hope to share with you soon.

Intelligent. Trusted. Experienced. Dependable.

More ideas from the Less-is-More files: A series of four mini billboards for Jacobs Heating and Air Conditioning quickly communicate the competitive advantages of the company with one-word headlines. The panels are big and bright so they can be easily read from cars on the street. Whether you read the secondary copy or not, the big idea is already intertwined with the company name and logo, and hopefully stuck in your head. Click the image for a larger view.

Smells Like Pop Art

We just designed these groovy (and loud) business cards for Smells Like Pop, an on-line music magazine with “music news, opinion, blather and snark.” The writers of SLP (of which I myself am one!) are for the most part all “Pops” (or at least old enough to smell like a pop) and hail from up and down the West Coast. You can read some reviews, editorials and features at smellslikepop.com

Neu Deco Business Cards

Deco Distilling is moving into their new production facility, complete with a Tasting Room that will be open on weekends, so they needed new business cards. We helped them out with a nice refresh that’s equal parts vintage Deco and rock-and-roll. While the spirits are hand-crafted, these cards are all about sales, so we put an ad on the back for their delicious new Coffee Rum. And, yes that is a Silver Medal from the 2011 World Spirits Competition. Thanks for noticing.

Poster for a Gastronomic Soirée

We designed this full-color poster for a very special event at the Benson Hotel benefitting Foundation Batum and Mama of Africa. The poster shows photos of the group’s work in Cameroon, and features the son of the Foundation’s founder Nicolas Batum (who just happens to play for the Portland Trail Blazers). The Gastronomic Soirée takes place on Wednesday March 16th at 6:00pm, and you can get your tickets at Tickets Oregon.

Up All Night at McFadden’s

Web and Email ad for McFadden’s Up All Night Lingerie and Pajama Party sponsored by Red Bull and Bacardi. A lot of info is packed into a pretty small space. A lot of junk in the trunk as it were.

Claus and Paws are on the Case!

Here’s a fun poster we just did for the Pearl District’s Claus and Paws holiday benefit event for Dove Lewis. If you have a dog or cat, or even something more exotic please bring your little friend down to Lexidog Pearl on Sunday, December 5th from 11AM to 3PM and have their picture taken with Santa Claus.

Yes, that’s where the name came from. Did you think that it was the exciting story of a cranky cat who drinks too much and a seemingly dim-witted, but actually quite intelligent dog who work as extra Christmas help in the Pearl District, but then crack unsolvable crimes at night. That would be a great show … Anybody?

Mad Men Gone Wild!

Posters and web badges for in-store theater event at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams with proceeds benefiting Cascade AIDS Project.

Distillery Row TBA:10 Flyer

We designed this quick flyer for the newly-formed Distillery Row, a guild of 6 local distilleries all located in Southeast Portland. The flyer will be used at this year’s PICA TBA:10 festival where the distilleries will be hosting a special bar as part of The Works at Washington High School from September 9 – 19th with a special Distillery Row Happy Hour on Tuesday September 14th. Next up: branding and a new website.

Lovely Deco Label Shot

silver_hero

Nothing new here, except some great new photography of the Deco Silver Rum label we helped design. You can pick-up Deco Silver and Deco Ginger Rum at many Oregon and most Portland liquor stores.
